The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) through the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry is considering opening three new offices because of the several complaints coming from these areas.

CCPC Public Relations Officer, Hanford Chaaba, has told QFM News in an interview that the three districts are Solwezi in North Western Province, Kasama in Northern Province and Mongu in Western province.

Mr. Chaaba states that the commission is currently recruiting members of staff in these areas and is hopeful of improving the lives of the people in these areas.

He adds that the commission is trying to make a way to reach many consumers and sensitize them on their rights as consumers.

He explains that when the commission successfully opens offices in the three areas, it will mean CCPC will have six offices which will at least improve its operations.
