People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti says the Patriotic Front (PF) government should understand that the submissions in the draft constitution were not theirs but for the members of the public and hence the members of the public need to see their submissions in the document.

Mr. Mulongoti told Q fm in an interview that people had spent a lot of time making submissions to the constitutions and are therefore expecting the document filled up with their submissions.

Mr. Mulongoti notes that a lot of money was also spent on making submissions and hence the need for the people to have the constitution before the end of the year.

He adds that the PF should not have made commitments to the people if their agenda was to depart from people’s submissions.

Mr. Mulongoti has emphasized that a people driven constitution must be implemented as soon as possible citing that the people have waited enough.

He further states that the issue of a referendum is not debatable adding that excuses such as there is no money are lame.
