Government has finally commissioned Munkonge bridge  in Kaputa district which was constructed at a cost
of over K230, 000.00


Speaking when he commissioned the bridge yesterday, Kaputa district administrative officer Alick Kampamba said the bridge will ease the movement and transportation of both people and goods to and from the district.


Mr. Kampamba noted that the bridge had become critical to the lives of people since it was washed away last year.


He has since commended the provincial administration in Kasama, for prioritizing the construction of the bridge which money was initially meant for grading feeder roads.


Mr. Kampamba has also commended the people in Munkonge for their hard work and commitment exhibited during the construction of the bridge.


And Patriotic Front (PF) Kaputa district political secretary Boyd Chomba has assured the people that the PF government will continue working hard to fulfill its promises.


Meanwhile, village headman Shikapasa thanked government for constructing the bridge to safe guard the lives of the people.
