HH congralutates PF for its Mansa victory

Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has congratulated the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) for scooping the Mansa Central Parliamentary seat.

Mr. Hichilema says despite the loss in the just ended by-election his party is still of the view that it could not have picked any other better candidate than Rosemary Mwiche who was the only female to contest in the by-election.

Mr. Hichilema says he is also proud of the people of Mansa for the manner in which they welcomed him during the campaigns and for having shown the entire country that they can hold peaceful campaigns in an election.

Mr. Hichilema has further congratulated the newly elected UPND councilors in Kasempa and the PF councilors in Bahati and Malambo as well as the MMD councilor in Kaputula in Kabwe.

And Mr. Hichilema has disclosed to Qfm in statement that his party has used the Mansa by-election as an opportunity to create party structures.

Mr. Hichilema says even though the loss of his party in the Mansa by-election was lost due to many factors, his members of his party should embrace the loss and plan for upcoming elections by carrying lessons from Mansa by-election.

He says he is sure that the UPND has the best and genuine message for the people of Zambia and that this is why the UNPD is attracting attention everywhere, including Mansa where it could previously not get such votes.

The UPND president has encourages members his party to soldier on as a party as the sky is the limit for the UNPD.
