Seven Patriotic Front (PF) Constituencies in Lusaka have once again echoed calls for the resignation of PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba, Robert Chikwelete and Lusaka Provincial Chairperson, Geoffrey Chumbwe.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today were all the seven constituencies were represented, Munali Constituency Chairperson, Forbes Chapuswike, says the propaganda machinery of Mr Kabimba wants to give an impression that all those who seek the reorganization of the PF are a bunch of criminals who have no respect for human life and society.

Mr. Chapuswike says for as long as Mr. Kabimba remains in the party, protests against him will not come to an end until he steps down as party Secretary General.

He adds that Mr. Kabimba should concentrate on developing his Fourth Republican Party and allow President Sata continue with his vision of promoting peace and unity in the party.

Mr. Chapuswike has also challenged Mr. Chumbwe to clear the air concerning the 1994 Meridian bank robbery case as interested parties in the leadership of the PF demand that he clears his name.

Speaking at the same event, Lusaka provincial PF Women Chairlady, Margret Mumba accused Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations, George Chellah, of intimidating journalists and involving himself in politics.

Ms Mumba says the PF party members are aware of Mr. Chellah’s continued threats on journalists who take keen interest in reporting on Mr. Kabimba’s failures and will not allow him to continue intimidating the media.
