The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has described as a political miracle that the postmortem conducted on a Patriotic Front (PF) cadre, Moses Simwelu, who during clashes by rival cadres in Lusaka last week indicated that he died of natural causes.

UPND Deputy Secretary General, Kuchunga Simusamba, has told QFM News in an interview that people witnessed the killing of the PF cadre and that the police confirmed that one cadre had died during the fracas, only for the postmortem to indicate that he died a natural death.

Mr. Simusamba says this is an indication that the PF is destroying public institutions in order to favour them.

He says there is need for the people of Zambia to have confidence in medical doctors as well as the Police, but that such happenings are an indication that these institutions are working under serious instructions.

And National Restoration Party (NAREP) National Secretary, Reverend Jervan Kamanga, says it is painful for the family of Moses Simwelu to be told that he died from natural causes when it is clear that he died during the violent fracas.

Reverend Kamanga says Medical Doctors should be professional in the manner they handle such sensitive matters.

He adds that the findings of the postmortem are a total insult to the family members who feel the pain of losing someone dear to them.
