The opposition Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) youths in Lusaka have warned United Party for National Development (UPND) Deputy Spokesperson, Cornelius Mweetwa, to stop attacking the MMD leaders who are facing various charges in the courts of law.

MMD Youth Wing Die Hard, Bowman Lusambo has told QFM News that MMD leaders who are appearing before the courts of law have never privately asked for withdrawal of their cases as alleged by Mr. Mweetwa.

Mr. Lusambo says the UPND should stop boasting that it is the most popular opposition political party in the country because it is a regional party.

Mr. Lusambo adds that Mr. Mweetwa likes taking advantage of the African Parliamentarians Network Against Corruption (APNAC) chairmanship to attack perceived political enemies.

He furthermore adds that the MMD youths are aware that Mr. Mweetwa has been secretly telling people that MMD needs UPND for them to survive in politics which is not true.

He has observed that new political parties like NAREP and Father Frank Bwalya’s Alliance for a Better Zambia (ABZ) parties are doing better than UPND in terms of popularity because they have a national character than UPND.
