ZAM,NTBC sign MOU

The Zambia Association of manufactures (ZAM) and the National Technology and Business Centre (NTBC) have signed a memorandum of understanding in its quest to enhance public private collaboration.

Speaking shortly before the signing ceremony at the ministry of commerce trade and industry this morning, Zambia association of manufactures president Dr. Bright Chunga says the two organizations have embarked on a journey to strengthen institutional collaboration.

Dr. Chunga also notes that the collaboration will also enhance information sharing and foster the growth of industry through tailored services packages to enhance the competitiveness and productivity of the sector.

Dr. Chunga stresses that the association is optimistic that the signing of the memorandum of understanding will not only promote communication and exchange of information on technological and product innovations between the two organizations but will cultivate more focused research and development activities.

He adds that the manufacturing sector has the capability to create sustainable employment through forward and backward linkages and formation of strategic relationships with other stakeholders.
