Chintu, Munthali recalled for Brazil friendly

Chris Munthali and Kampamba Chintu recalled after Zambia’s player shortfall for their October 15 friendly against Brazil in China.

Chintu and Munthali are part of the quartet of reinforcements after a spate of withdrawals including a club-versus-country row that has hit
Patrice Beaumelle’s first day on the job.

Others are Nchanga Rangers winger Alex Ngonga and Red Arrows defender Jimmy Chisenga.

The quartet has been drafted in following withdraws of PSL –based players Mukuka Mulenga, Davies Nkausu and Collins Mbesuma due to

TP Mazembe’s decision not release Stopilla Sunzu, Rainford Kalaba and Nathan Sinkala citing illness and injuries has also impacted
Beaumelle’s decision.

Meanwhile, Dutch-based striker Jacob Mulenga from FC Utrecht, Emmanuel Mayuka from French club Sochaux and Israeli-based defender Emmanuel
Mbola have arrived in camp.

Striker Rodgers Kola of Belgium club KAA Gent is also in camp.
