Non Governmental Organization Coordinating Council (NGOCC) board chairperson Beatrice Grillo says there is need for government to learn to accept decisions of the Courts of law for the sake of justice.

Commenting on the move by government to appeal to the Supreme Court decision of the High court to allow Dora Siliya, Hastings Sililo and Maxwell Mwale to file in their nominations in the forthcoming by-elections in Petauke central, Malambo and Mulobezi, Mrs. Grillo express concern with the cost of such actions by government.

Mrs. Grillo notes that the ruling by the High court has proved the independence of the judiciary.

She says NGOCC is excited and highly commends the decision by the High court to allow the three candidates to file nominations for the three by-elections.

Mrs. Grillo stresses that government should accept the decision by the High court instead of appealing to the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile Mrs. Grillo has urged the three candidates to ensure that they do their best to take development to their constituencies if voted back as members of parliament.
