Former Defence Minister George Mpombo has charged that Zambia has lost its global reputation in the two years the Patriotic Front government has been in power.
Mr Mpombo who is also former Zambian deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria says the country’s association with countries considered rogue States by the western countries such as North Korea has not helped the country’s global image.
He says it is an embarrassment for Zambia to associate itself with a country like North Korea known for its poor human rights record.
And Mr Mpombo says the PF’s two years in power is a failure.
He notes that the ruling party has abandoned programmes outlined in the manifesto resulting in its failure to deliver on campaign promises.
Mr. Mpombo adds that the country is currently in economic darkness as a result of the PF government’s failure to govern.
