—-Three un-adopted aspiring Patriotic Front (PF) candidates who vied for the Chipata Central Constituency seat have pledged to rally behind the adopted candidate, Lameck Mangani.

Hanif Badat, Pilila Jere, and Moses Mawere were also present during the filing in of nominations for Mr Mangani held at Chipata Municipal Council this morning.

The trio further vowed to remain loyal to the ruling party and the entire PF Provincial Executive Committee.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Chipata today, one of the un-adopted candidates, Haniff Badat, said time is over to continue fighting for adoptions but instead channel his energy and concentrate on campaigning for Mr Mangani.

Mr Badat said he has a lot of confidence in Mr Mangani that he would scoop the Chipata Central seat in the forthcoming by-election slated for July 25, 2013, saying Mr Mangani is a former MP for the same seat who knows and understands the problems his constituents are faced with.

The Chipata Central seat fell vacant after the court nullified it following a court injuction Mr Mangani filed against incumbent, Mtolo Phiri.

Mr Badat further called on members of the PF party in the district to support Mr Mangani and called for total commitment and unity during the political campaigns if the ruling party was to emerge victorious.

The PF losing parliamentary candidate explained that he joined the PF to assist it in building the ruling party in Eastern Province and the entire people in the country as a whole appreciated the development agenda set by the PF leadership for the Zambian people.
