Mulobezi Heads of department urged to make district habitable

Sesheke, June 21,  2013,  ZANIS—Government  has urged all the heads of departments  in Mulobezi District to work hard for the new district to be habitable just like any other town in Zambia.

And Mulobezi district administrative officer (DAO) Maureen Ngombo Kabani says the fight against corruption should involve everybody in the District.

ZANIS reports that Mr Mwayanguba disclosed this the second quarter district developmental coordination committee (DDCC) held at the district administrative conference hall in Mulobezi district, yesterday.

He pointed out that staff and office accommodation was one of the biggest challenge in the new district.

He lamented that construction of the 20 low cost houses and 10 high cost houses has been delayed because the site plan hasn’t yet been signed.

Meanwhile most of all the heads of departments of Mulobezi district live and work from sesheke district because of not having ideal housing units in the district.

The district administrative office of Mulobezi has so far had its second district developmental coordination committee (DDCC) from the time when Mulobezi was pronounced a district.

Mulobezi district administrative officer (DAO) Maureen Ngombo Kabani says the fight against corruption should involve everybody in the District.

Mrs. Kabani said the fight against corruption is a partnership exercise which should involve everybody to participate fully.

ZANIS reports that the DAO said this yesterday in her presentation of the  national anti corruption policy implementation plan during the second DDCC meeting.

She edged all the heads of department who attended the district developmental coordinating committee (DDCC) meeting to refrain from all forms of corruption practices.

Meanwhile, a farmer from Kanyimba area in Mulobezi district has  appealed to the government to consider giving the district relief food following the poor rainfall last season.
