Swedish Envoy urges Zambians to work hard

 

Mansa,  June 3rd, ,2013,  ZANIS —- Swedish Ambassador to Zambia, Lena Nordstrom says Zambians to work hard to ensure that the Country is developed.

Ambassador Nordstrom says it is only when Zambians take an active role in developmental issues that will lead to the Country’s development.

The Swedish Envoy said this when she officially opened a  three days Law Association of Zambia, National Legal Aid Clinic for Women Workshop held in Mantumbusa area in Mansa, yesterday.

She said Government’s Co-operating partners such as Sweden are only there to complement the efforts of the Zambian Government to develop the Country.

The Ambassador has also called on Zambian to ensure that they are well informed so that they can contribute effectively to the development of
the Country.

And speaking earlier, Mansa District Commissioner, Mirriam Kausen paid tribute to the Swedish Government for the assistance it has continue  to render to Zambia.

Mrs Kausen said Sweden has been a all weather friend to Zambia especially in the areas of Human Rights and economic Development.

The Mansa District Commissioner said this in a speech read on her behalf by Mansa District Acting Administrative Officer (DAO), Evans Sikabuba.

 

 

Mrs Kausen explained that the aim of the workshop was to sensitize members of the Community to appreciate the Laws of Zambia.

The three-day workshop has drawn participants from Traditional Leaders, Women, Men and Youths from members of the Community in Mantumbusa area, which is Seven Kilometres from the Mansa District Administrative Centre.
