Lusaka, May 27th, ZANIS—Chilulu Girls Football Team of Lusaka is Zambia’s representative at this year’s Under-17 Gothia cup tournament which will be held in July in Sweden.

The Chilulu Girls’ football team qualified for the tournament in Sweden after beating Breakthrough of Lusaka by 4 goals to 1 on post-match penalties at the two day tournament which was held at Raverns Club in Kitwe last week.

Breakthrough Chiparamba Soccer Academy (BCSA) Director Jeff Malanga has confirmed the development to ZANIS Sports in Lusaka today.

Malanga said the two days 2013 Gothia Cup qualifiers tournament was organised by Breakthrough Chiparamba Sports Academy in partnership with SKF Zambia.

He said a total of eight Girls’ football teams from Lusaka, Ndola and Kitwe participated in the one team qualification tournament.

The Gothia cup is an annual World Youth Sports event for girls below the age of 17 and the qualifying tournaments are held in all countries where SKF limited has its presence.

The SKF business units in particular countries sponsor the winning team to compete in the finals in Sweden.
