Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Housing Chileshe Mulenga has asked council workers in the country to work hard in order to satisfy public demand for municipal service delivery.

Dr. Mulenga said government was uncomfortable with the poor work culture of many councils workers in various districts of Zambia.

He said in Lusaka today that council workers should be authors of hard work and positive work culture because they deal with the delivery of essential services to the public.

He observed that council workers’ bad attitude towards work would trigger a poor work culture in other areas of development in cities and districts in the country.

Dr. Mulenga has since prodded town clerks in councils around the country to pioneer hard work and positive culture towards work in their local authorities.
