The Rural Electrification Authority (REA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Godfrey Musonda has said works on the KR 9 million Matunga project in Katete
district of Eastern province is on schedule and the authority expects the contractor to conclude by end of July.

Mr Musonda said the project which covers about 27km stands to directly benefit more than 100 households in Katete with more than 2000 people expected to benefit indirectly.

Speaking in Katete shortly after inspecting works at the Matunga site, Mr Musonda said the project will also provide electricity to four (4) schools and one (1) rural health centre.

He promised that REA will continue inspecting its projects to ensure that works are done properly and its mandate is well implemented.

“Its important that we inspect how the contractors are working so we know what is going on” he said.

Mr Musonda has since commended the contractor, BHB a local firm for its commitment to meet the completion date set out for July this year.

He said the authority was satisfied with the workmanship of the company especially that they were found working irrespective of the CEO’s impromptu visit to the site.

And the contractor, BHB’s Site Manager Nsama Kabaso said the project works will speed up now that the rain season was over.

Mr Kabaso said the project faced some challenges during the rain period which hampered the pace of the works.

Mr Kabaso however said more than three (3) quarters of the materials were already in place and therefore the project will not be delayed.

He assured that by end of July  the project will have been concluded.

  1. You would need to take a bus or get a ride from a friend or rent a car.
You also have service apartments Belgrade for both short and long term stays.
The rented price is directly proportional to the
    length of the rental period.

  2. Of these elements, stock control is arguably the
most fundamental cog in any wholesale or distribution operation. This attitude
has the potential to kill the team goals by curbing active involvement
of team members. Not all Bilingual programs out there are the same or even beneficial.
