——Kalulushi Member of Parliament  Rayford Mbulu has appealed to investors in the district to consider supporting youths through sport.

Mr. Mbulu says there is need for the employers in Chambishi to revitalize sports for the youths to stop them from indulging in bad habits such as beer drinking.

Mr. Mbulu made the appeal today during a consultative forum with investors operating in the district in Chambishi today.

He said it was the desire of the government to see the youths of Chambeshi  engage themselves in productive activities aimed at improving their lives.

Mr. Mbulu who  is also labour deputy minister noted that there were about seven private companies  in Chambishi that could contribute to the sporting activities for the youths who spent most of their time loitering and involving themselves in doing wrong things.

He however, commended the investors for choosing Kalulushi to be their investment destination.

He said the PF government’s major requirement which would continue was to attract  investors because they created jobs for the youths which was a priority.

Chambishi Copper Smelter Public Relations Officer Danniel Likando said the company has this year donated KR1 Million towards its corporate social responsibility to the  community in Chambishi.

At the same meeting, Chibuluma Mines Chief Services Officer Margaret Mwale said her company has been supporting Kalulushi Modern Stars while some funds have been set aside to rehabilitate the team’s stadium.

And Boro Mining Chief Executive Officer Masceliono Barnabas said the company will take up the challenge by expanding the perimeters of its  corporate social responsibility.
