Kulamba Kubwalo congratulates Chieftainess Nkomesha
Kabwe, April 11, 2013, ZANIS, ———– The Kulamba Kubwalo Cultural committee (KKC) in Chibombo district has congratulated Chieftainess Nkomesha Mukamaambo II on her election as House of Chiefs Chairperson.
Committee Chairperson Dickson Chitambala told ZANIS in Kabwe that the Kulamba Kubwalo was happy that Chieftainess Nkomesha is the new House of Chief’s Chairperson.
Mr. Chitambala who was flanked by committee Vice Treasurer Green Chikumbusho and Secretary Bishop Luputa said there was no doubt that Chieftainess Nkomesha, would work tirelessly to ensure that challenges such as traditional boundaries and succession disputes were resolved.
He said it was more pleasing especially that Chieftainess Nkomesha is the first woman chairperson for the house and appealed to all chiefs in the country to help resolve issues affecting them by working with her well.
And Mr. Chitambala also disclosed that his committee has embarked on the establishment of a radio station to be called Lukanga radio to ease communication in the district.
He further said the committee was also spear heading Lenje book writing to be used in all schools in the district to ensure that children learnt the local language in schools.
He has since called for support from all the people towards the two projects to ensure they succeed.
