—–The Czech Republic Ambassador to Zambia, Petr Stary, says his government is happy with the way Zambians trained in that country are applying their skills in Zambia’s development efforts.

Ambassador Stary says it is for this reason that his government has continued offering scholarships to young Zambians to go and study in that country.

He was speaking in Choma last night when he graced an exhibition of Czech industrial heritage and natural beauties.

Ambassador Stary, who was accompanied by officials from the Czech International Development Agency, said Zambia will remain a priority country in Czech government’s overseas development assistance.

He said his government is presently focusing on various development projects in Southern and Western Provinces of Zambia.

And a Zambian, who studied in the Czech Republic and now working for the Ministry of Health in Choma, Rhoda Mkandawire, said the quality education acquired from that country has enabled her excel in her profession.

Dr Mkandawire, who is also District Medical Officer for Choma, has encouraged young Zambians to consider pursuing studies in the Czech Republic.
