ACC nabs Kafue security guard
Lusaka, March 18, 2013, ZANIS—The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested a security guard for one count of corrupt practices involving KR 150.00
Richard Kabungo , 36 , a security guard at Kafue Ginnery of house number 45/151 in Kafue has been arrested for one count of corrupt practices with a public offer contrary to section 19 (2) as read with section 41 of the Anti-Corruption Act no 3 of 2012.
Particulars of the offence are that Mr. Kabungo corruptly offered K150.00 cash gratification to Rina Hamalekah, a station manager for Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) Ridgeway office, as an inducement to process the application of a drivers licence.
According to a statement issued to the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in Lusaka today by ACC acting spokesperson Queen Chibwe, Mr Kabungo is expected to appear in court tomorrow 19 March 2013.
