The Patriotic Front in Chienge district has called for improved agricultural services in the district.

District political secretary George Kalwa disclosed that the party was concerned about the low agriculture extension services in the district which has resulted in farmers lacking in many areas due to inadequate services.

He added that there was need for the office of the district agricultural coordinator to design a plan for ensuring that that the officers were delivering the agricultural services to the farmers in the district.

And Luapula Province minister Brigadier General Benson Kapaya has called for the change of attitude towards work among civil servants in the district.

He said reports of poor public service delivery and complaints from the community should be a thing of the past.

Brig. Gen Kapalu said the PF Government wanted to deliver on its promises in accordance with the party manifesto and civil servants were critical in the delivery of public services.

He said it was important for civil servants to change their attitude towards work and develop a good work culture which will be appreciated by Zambians.
