Kaoma man commits suicide in an clear circumstances

 

Kaoma, March 7, ZANIS —— A 27-year-oldman of Mulamatila compound died after drinking vegetable chemicals believed to be rogor.

 

A relative to the deceased, Muyangwa Iwake told ZANIS in an interview yesterday that his younger brother Iwake Iwake 27, died yesterday around 09:00 hours two days after being admitted to Kaoma district hospital.

 

Mr Iwake said the motive of his late brother of taking up his own life is not yet known as he did not leave any written document as to why he decided to drink the deadly insecticide he used to kill aphids in his gardens.

 

He said his late brother was just seen running away from his house after drinking the chemical and he started chasing people around adding that later on the chemical was found on his table and he was immediately rushed to Kaoma district hospital.

 

Mr Iwake said the body of his late brother would be put to rest after a post-mortem is conducted to ascertain the cause of his death.

 

And efforts to get a comment from Kaoma District Medical officer Richard Sakala proved futile as his mobile phone went unanswered.
