Petauke coach in high hopes with team

Petauke, Match 4, ZANIS —————Petauke United football Club trainer, Cuthbert Phiri says his team was shaping up well in readiness for the commencement of the division two eastern football league season.

Speaking to ZANIS in a telephone interview from his Petauke base, Phiri said he was aware of the fact that all the teams in the division had an appetite to go up to the division one and as such he was putting everything in place to make sure that his charges were ready to take on any team that would pose a threat to his team’s progress to the division one.

He said though the task was not simple he fully believed in his lads’ capability of standing up and be counted adding that the only place for Petauke United was in division one and there after challenging to make a maiden appearance in the supper division.

‘’You know what Petauke United is a senior team in the eastern province and with their status the only lower they can go is division one and the way is only up and not down ‘’said the trainer.

Phiri however said it would be a difficulty route up for the team but with the crop of players he had in the team he was sure come the end of the season united would be leading the pack.

He said with the old guys blended with the new lads the season would be very interesting saying Petauke United had its own brand of football that of panache and he was sure that would be exhibited throughout the coming season
