—Lusaka Province Minister, Freedom Sikazwe, has implored school managers in the country  to ensure that they improve  education standards in the country.

Mr Sikazwe said this in Lusaka yesterday when he received a donation of 20 mattresses from the Association of Head Teachers of Lusaka Province to Kapululira High School in Chirundu district.

Mr Sikazwe said there is need for private entities to emulate the gesture done by the head teachers in the province.

He has since appealed to the head teachers in the country to ensure that they organise their environment in an orderly manner in order for pupils learn from them.

He said government is trying as much as possible to work on the challenges that Chirundu district is facing.

Mr Sikazwe said government is aware of the many challenges that the education sector in his province is going through.

The Provincial Minister said Chirundu is one of the districts that have just been re-aligned to Lusaka Province and will soon be integrated into the provincial plan.
