First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda has called for continued partnership between Namibia and Zambia in their quest to develop the Southern African region.

Dr Kaunda said it is important that the two countries continue to work together to effectively reconstruct the African continent.

Dr Kaunda said this in Lusaka yesterday when Namibian Foreign Affairs Minister Netumbo Ndaitwa paid a courtesy call on him at his office.

He said it was vital that Zambia and Namibia partnered to bring Africa together like Europe, Asia, and America are together respectively.

And Namibia Foreign Affairs Minister Ms Ndaitwa said her country took a lot of inspiration from Zambia’s first President and would strive to emulate his efforts in uniting the continent.

Ms Ndaitwa said her people were always motivated to hear the wisdom of Dr Kaunda especially his messages in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

She affirmed the need for the two countries to continue working together.
