MAIKO ZULU ON THE EXPULSION OF CUBAN AMBASSADOR

Revolutionary greetings from the Cuban Ambassador to Zambia Nelson Pages Vilas.

EXPULSION OF CUBAN AMBASSADOR: THE CASE OF A PERSONAL BATTLE GONE INTERNATIONAL?

In my opinion, President Lungu seems to have a wrong team of advisors, the likes that will encourage him to use State machinery for personal battles. Acting on impulse seems to have become anonymous with our government as demonstrated by the expulsion of the Cuban Ambassador.

In as much as it is not right for foreign countries to meddle in the internal political affairs of a sovereign nation, I believe there should have been other ways to deal with the situation. If I’m not mistaken, there were other nationals at the launch of the Fred M’membe led Socialist Party launch and therefore we await similar expulsions if this is not personal vendetta.
But wait a minute, doesn’t the name Fred M’membe sound familiar….?
I see this as a personal battle gone international with great potential for more diplomatic disasters to follow. MAIKO ZULU
