KABWE WARRIORS SIGN UGANDAN NATIONAL TEAM GOALKEEPER

Kabwe Warriors have signed Ugandan National Team Goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.

Ochan signs from Ugandan Champions Kampala Capital City Authority FC and was in goal when Zambia beat Uganda 3-1 during this year’s CHAN tournament.

The 28 year old Goalkeeper was linked to Nkana FC early on in January as his coach Mike Mutebi indicated that there was interest from Zambia and it was unlikely that he would stay at the club but his mistakes against Zambia saw Nkana FC losing interest in him as they opted to bring in Ghanaian Goalkeeper Stephen Adams from Ghanaian Champions Aduana Stars.

KCCA FC coach Mutebi still insisted that the player was on his way to Zambia and left him out of the KCCA FC squad that travelled to Madagascar this past weekend to play in thier CAF Champions League match.

It has finally emerged that Kabwe Warriors was his destination as he has put pen to paper and signed a 3 year deal.

Ochan arrives at Warriors with a lot of pedigree and is third choice in the Ugandan National team squad behind Mamelodi Sundowns Goalkeeper Dennis Onyango and Ethiopian giants Saint George FCs Robert Ondagaraka.
