SOME pastors in Lusaka have protested against the directive by Government to stop churches from conducting services in cholera-affected areas, questioning how they will survive without offerings and tithe.

Pastor Enock Njovu, a member of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ), and a pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Mtendere township, accused those in authority of harbouring “hateful spirit of church”.

Pastor Njovu, who stormed the Zambia Daily Mail newsroom, questioned how pastors will survive during this period as their source of income is from the church.

“I survive through pastoring the church, and now we are told no assembly, how do I survive myself? If it will take two months, how do I survive?
