The ruling PF has justified the necessitate of the trips that President Edgar Lungu has taken abroad since his re-election in August this year.

And the ruling PF has reassured the nation that President Lungu who is also the ruling PF leader is fully conscious of the need to cut down government on expenditures.

PF Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya says President Lungu in fact agrees with the people, the church and civil society organizations that have been calling for the reducing of presidential trips.

Mr. Bwalya says this is why President Lungu has not been traveling too much.

In an interview with QTV News Mr. Bwalya has argued that if the President had been traveling too much as some have assumed, the number of trips he has made so far would have only been a fraction of what he is supposed to undertake as Head of State.

Mr. Bwalya says the ruling PF however thinks that the trips that President Lungu has made so far since his re-election have been necessary.

He says this is because that have been beneficial to the Country with respect improving its trade, Direct Foreign Investments, and bilateral relations with other Countries.
