Prison warder found dead in car with scratch marks on private parts

A PRISON warder at Nyimba State Prison has been murdered in unknown circumstances.
Eastern Province commissioner of police Alex Chilufya identified the officer as Divine Solomon Musope, 32, of Nyimba district.
Mr Chilufya said in Chipata yesterday that the body of Mr Musope was found in his car around 12:30 hours in the prison’s gardens on Thursday last week.
“Police visited the scene and found Musope dead while his [pair of] trousers was partially folded up to his knees and scratch marks on his private parts were also found, an indication that this is a murder case,” he said.
Mr Chilufya said a post-mortem will be carried out to determine the real cause of death.
He said so far no arrest has been made.
