The Zambia National Football Team has qualified to the 2016 Rwanda CHAN tournament.

This is despite a one all draw with Mozambique in the final leg played at Machava Stadium in Maputo on Sunday, to make it to the tournament on a 4-one goal aggregate.

Zambia scored through Red Arrows hitman Festus Mbewe in the 20th minute before Mozambique equalized through a penalty in the second half after Chipolopolo defender Christopher Munthali handled in the box while trying to clear the danger.

The copper bullets beat Mozambique 3-nil in the first leg played at Levy Mwanawasa stadium last Saturday.

Zambia last played at the CHAN tournament in 2009 where they came out number three in Ivory Coast.

The Chipolopolo failed to make it to the 2011 and 2014 tournaments respectively.
