The Zambia national team will this evening hope to build on their significant victory on Sunday against Kenya when they host Gabon in an international friendly at Heroes Stadium.
With Zambia having triumphed 2-1 away in Nairobi in an Africa Cup qualifier there is a sense of optimism coming on the backdrop of fans having been put off by inconsistent performances by the Chipolopolo.

The match will be the two sides’ meeting since the 2010 Africa Cup in Angola where Zambia won 2-1.
Fans will be hoping to have a closer look at the team with the decent show put in Kenya helping inject bits of enthusiasm.
The onus will be on the team to sustain the momentum with a victory and all eyes will be at the tip of the attack where Collins Mbesuma and Winston Kalengo will be under watch to prove if their partnership could prove to be a more than one off wonder.

Another pair under the microscope will be Under-20 stars Boyd Mkandawire and Benedict Chepeship who coach George Lwandamina may give another chance to grow their confidence after they put up a nervy show on Sunday but having survived the heat the youngsters may just cool off among the big boys.
Gabon host the 2017 Africa Cup and are just looking to test their players as they are not part of the qualifiers.

Gate charges have been pegged at K30 all round with the VIP section being at K300.
The match will be live on SuperSport and ZNBC and kicks off at 18:00 hours.
