President Edgar Lungu is tomorrow expected in Mungwi district in Northern Province for the coronation of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people.

Northern Province Permanent Secretary Hlobotha Nkunika has confirmed the President’s proramme to ZNBC’ Kennedy Bwalya in an interview in Kasama ON Thursday .

 

President Lungu will return to Lusaka after witnessing the Chitimukulu’s coronation.

Meanwhile, all is set for the coronation of Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

And Ukusefya Pang’wena traditional ceremony of the Bemba speaking people is on this Saturday.

Vice President Inonge Wina will grace the ceremony in Mungwe district.

 

 

Mr. Nkunika says traditional leaders from all the ten provinces will be in attendance.

The highlight of Ukusefya Pang’wena traditional ceremony is the re-enactment of the journey by the Bemba people from Kola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Lubemba in Northern Province.

 

 

Meanwhile, hotels and guesthouses have run out of accommodation ahead of the ceremony.

A check by a ZNBC crew revealed that room prices have however remained unchanged despite the overwhelming customer turnout.
