DESPITE her spouse having the seventh lover ever since they got married, a Lusaka woman has begged the Kanyama Local Court to reconcile her to him.
Abigail Kalenga, 31, of Kanyama said whenever her husband Martin Kabwata, 34, of the same township has a lover, he neglects her.

 

She said her husband has cheated on her with several women.
Kalenga, who was speaking before justices Daniel Phiri, Sara Nyendwa, and Abraham Phiri, said Kabwata does not restrain his lovers from verbally abusing her.

 

“On June 14, this year, his current lover called me and told me I am wasting time being in this marriage as Kabwata does not love me. She also gave me a one-month ultimatum to leave my house as she was getting ready to move in,” Kalenga lamented.

 

And in his statement, Mwansa said though he once had a lover in 2011, he still loves Kalenga and is ready to work things out.
Passing judgment, Justice Daniel Phiri reconciled the two and ordered Kabwata to stop mistreating his wife.
