President Edgar Lungu says he will table before Cabinet the matter of moving the North-Western Province provincial Capital from Solwezi to another District.

President Lungu says government has delayed in acting because it has information that there are conflicting suggestions on which District should be the Provincial Capital.

The Head of State says government had initially been informed that Chiefs, Members of Parliament and other sectors had agreed on Kasempa as the New North-Western Province capital.

The President was speaking when at State House when he meet Traditional leaders from North-Western Province.

And Chief Ntambu of Mwinilunga District said the Traditional leaders wants the Provincial Capital to be moved from Solwezi to Mufumbwe.

Chief Ntambu who spoke on behalf of other chiefs from Northwestern Province says the council of chiefs had agreed that the capital should be moved because Mufumbwe is a central place for all districts.
