Voting for a new Member of Parliament for Masaiti Constituency in Ndola rural is set for tomorrow.
A check by a ZANIS crew at Masaiti District Council Civic Centre today found polling agents and officials from the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ ) waiting to be dispatched to their respective polling stations in the constituency.
The Masaiti parliamentary seat was declared vacant after the Supreme Court nullified the election of Michael Katambo who was MMD MP for electoral malpractice.
Mr Katambo is re-contesting the seat on the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) ticket.
President Edgar Lungu was in Masaiti yesterday to drum up support for the PF candidate.

And former Luanshya Member of Parliament Roy Chilumanda has appealed to the electorate in the area to give President Lungu all the support he needs to develop the country.
My Chilumanda said the nation and the electorate in the area had better come to terms that Mr Lungu was the current President.
He said the electorate in Masaiti should show support for President lungu by voting for Mr Katambo in tomorrow’s by-election.
