SERENJE District Patriotic Front (PF) Chairperson Mwape Musonda has refuted claims that the party in Serenje Central Constituency is embroiled in internal wrangles.
Mr Musonda said contrary to reports made by PF District Secretary Best Mambwe, the ruling party in Serenje Central Constituency and the entire district is intact.
HE said the statement made by his District Secretary Best Mambwe on ZNBC news recently accusing PF Serenje Central Member of Parliament Philip Kosamu and his followers to be Rainbow Party Members is false and malicious.
Mr Musonda who described Mambwe as a disgruntled District Secretary saying that claims that the three PF official that defected to the Rainbow party a fortnight ago are not a factor in Serenje.
The District Chairperson said Mambwe’s statement had no blessings from the District Committee and he should apologize to the party.
“As a Chairperson, I have not received any resignation letter from any PF members in Serenje District apart from the three officials who resigned through the Post News paper of the 24th March, 2015.” Mr. Musonda said.
Mr Musonda further said with the support of Hon Philip Kosamu and the general public, the party in the district is intact and they are all behind the Republican President Edger Changwa Lungu.
And Chibwelamushi National vice Secretary Binson Kunda has condemned the statements made by the three defectors.
Mr. Kunda Rainbow district officials who defected from the PF for generalizing that Serenje people are not with the Republican President.
He said statements published by the Post News paper of 24th March were alarming and cannot be tolerated by the people of Serenje.
