ZAMTEL donates to Kasisi girls’ school

Authorities at Kasisi Girls Secondary School have praised the Zambia Telecommunications Company (ZAMTEL) for giving it K20, 000 cash and 40 bags of cement.

School Head teacher Prisca Phiri said the donation will help equip the girls with necessary Information Communication Technology (ICT) knowledge and enable them fit in the modern world of technology.

The donation is part of the fulfillment of the 2015 women’s day theme which is “Gender is my agenda, make it happen”.

And ZAMTEL Projects Manager Estellah Mwewa said the money and cement were a contribution towards the rehabilitation of a computer laboratory which helps girls attain important skills in ICTs

Meanwhile, Kasisi Girls Secondary School Head girl Chilufya Mutale said the donation towards the rehabilitation of a computer library will help the pupils to compete favourably in ICTs with their male counterparts.
