Govt commences construction of district Infrastructure
Lukulu, March 4,2015, ZANIS… Government has commenced the construction of district Infrastructure in Mitete district.
Speaking in an interview with ZANIS today, Mitete District Commissioner Teddy Chimbinde says four of the five contractors are on the ground doing minor works.
Mr. Chimbinde named the four contractors as KAPS Hardware a local contractor which will construct 20 low cost houses.
Others are BEMKEL Enterprises from Lusaka which will construct the district administration office block and ELdamain Business Solutions to construct the Post Office while KAMPE Investment Limited will construct a Council Block and two high cost houses.
Mr Chimbinde said the district was still expecting MUKO Trading Limited which will construct 10 medium cost houses.
And Mr. Chimbinde said although the four contractors were facing challenges in transporting building materials, minor works such as land clearing and molding of blocks has since commenced.
He added that this has created job employment for the people of Mitete District saying many people in the area will still benefit from the many other projects to be under taken.
