—Police in Maamba’s Sinazongwe District of Southern Province are holding a man believed to have crash-landed because of practicing witchcraft.
Maamba Police office in charge, Derick Bwalya, confirmed to ZANIS in a telephone interview today that Anderson Munsaka, 51, was found naked at the residential house for Jessy Njolo in Maamba around 04:00 hours.
According to police, Munsaka confessed that he was coming from Kalulushi with his five counterparts on a mission to kill someone in Maamba when they decided to leave him because he was against killing the person that was targeted.
Munsaka is said to be a local resident of Kagwamina village in Sinazongwe district.
He told police that they were supposed to go to Mufulira on another mission when the augment erupted and was pushed until he landed himself at Jessy Njolo’s house.
He is currently under police custody while police investigations in the matter continue.
The incident attracted scores of Maamba residents who woke up to their amusement when the owner of the house where he crash-landed reported the matter to the police who responded promptly before the victim was beaten up by the mob.
