—— Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Kiyoshi Koinuma today handed over a 42 episodes television programme to Muvi Television.
The Japanese drama programme called mother- in-law verses daughter-in-law is aimed at introducing Japanese cultural values to Zambia.
Speaking when he handed over the programme, Mr. Koinuma said the Japanese government will continue providing television programmes to Zambia.
He revealed that the Japanese government through the embassy has been providing Japanese programmes to Muvi television since 2008.
Mr. Koinuma explained that between 2010 and 2012, five programmes including human drama and education programs were provided to Muvi television to allow cultural exchange between the two countries.
Meanwhile Muvi Television General Manager Costa Mwansa thanked the Japanese government for providing the entire country with educational programmes.
Mr. Mwansa said the programme has come at a right time when the country is migrating from analogue transmission to digital which will allow people in rural areas to access educational programmes on Muvi TV.
