Bemba Royal Establishment- appeals to President Edgar Lungu not to bring Kandu Luo to ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs.

The Paramount Chief Chiti Mukulu of the Bemba people has applauded President Edgar Lungu for recognizing him.

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu said he is delighted by the swift move taken by the newly elected president to recognize him barely four days in office.

His royal highness further commended the president for appointing Nalolo Member of Parliament Inonge Wina as republican vice president.

The Mwine Lubemba said this through his Principal Advisor Pius Kasutu today.

And Paramount Chief Chitimukulu has congratulated Edgar Lungu on his election as the 6th republican president and assured him of support as he discharges his duties.

Yesterday, Republican President Edgar Lungu recognized Henry Kanyanta Sosala as the new Chiti Mukulu of the Bemba speaking people.

President Lungu further directed the Ministry of Traditional Affairs to look into the impasse surrounding the matter over the recognition of Sosala.

During his campaigns in the run up to the just concluded hotly contested election, Lungu pledged to recognize Henry Kanyanta Sosala as paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

Three Patriot Front PF Provincial Executive Officials in Northern Province have resigned from their positions.

The trio include Northern Province PF women Secretary Rosemary Chilufya, Provincial vice Information and Publicity Secretary Evaristo Bwalya and women Provincial Information and Publicity Secretary Emeldah Chabula.

Ms Chilufya who is also PF Chiba Ward Councilor and Ms Chabula said they have resigned from their position due to factors they could not disclose to the public.

Meanwhile, Evaristo Bwalya who was Provincial vice information and publicity secretary has resigned from the position and relinquish his membership as a PF member

A 37-year-old man of Kamana village in Chilubi district has been attacked by a crocodile on Lake Bangweulu.

Northern Province Police Commissioner, Charity Katanga confirmed the incident to Mano News today, saying the incident happened on Sunday this week.

Mrs Katanga identified the victim as Benard Mwila who sustained a big wound on his left leg after the attack.

She said the victim has been admitted to Chilubi clinic where he is receiving medical attention.
