PF’s Edgar Lungu jumps ahead in three constituencies in Eastern province

 

Chipata, January 21, ZANIS ————————- PF’s candidate Edgar Lungu has polled 4,673 votes beating his closest rival Mr Hichilema who got 1,750 votes in Chipangali constituency of Chipata district.

 

Tilyenji Kaunda of UNIP got 119 votes, Edith Nawakwi of the FDD got 114 votes and Nevers Mumba of the MMD got 71 votes.

 

Others are 4R’s Erick  Chanda 55 votes, NAREP’s  Elias  Chipimo got
37 votes, HP’s Godfrey  Miyanda polled  30 votes and Daniel Pule
of CDP  receiving 28 votes.

 

Peter Sinkamba of Green and Ludwig Sondashi FDA managing 11 and 8 votes respectively.

In Luangeni constituency of Chipata district, Mr Lungu polled 5,151
votes, Mr Hichilema polled 1,716 votes, Dr Mumba received 111 votes,
Mr Kaunda got 167 votes, Mr Miyanda polled 56 votes.

While, Ms Nawakwi got 51 votes, Dr Pule 41, Mr Chipimo managed 50
votes, Dr Sondashi 29, Mr Sinkamba got 8 votes and Mr Chanda 8 votes,

In Milanzi constituency of Katete District, Mr Lungu got 3, 441 vote,
Mr Hichilema got 1,471 votes, Mr Chanda received 196 votes, Ms Nawakwi
got 128 votes.

Others were Mr Kaunda who got 122 votes, Mr Miyanda polled 84 votes,
Dr Pule managed 82 votes, Mr Chipimo got 64 votes, Dr Mumba managed 60
votes, Dr Sondashi got 39 votes and Mr Sinkamba only managing 18
votes.
