Edgar Lungu scopes Lundazi central constituency

Edgar Lungu has won Lundazi central constituency in Eastern
province after polling 8,779 votes against his closet rival Hakainde
Hichilema of the UPND who got 2,972 votes in yesterday’s Presidential
race.


Returning officer Edwin Phiri announced that FDD’s Edith Nawakwi
got 375, UNIP’s Tilyenji Kaunda polled 269 while 4RP’s Erick Chanda managed
239  and Nevers Mumba of the MMD polled 104.


Others are Heritage Party’s Godfrey Miyanda who got 116, NAREP’s Elias
Chipimo polled 97, and CDP’s Daniel Pule polled 100 votes.


Mr. Phiri said Green Party of Peter Sikamba managed to get 41 and
FDA’s Ludwig Sondashi polled 68.


Mr. Phiri announced that 160 ballot papers were declared invalid.


Lundazi central constituency has a total of 48,639 registered voters.
