Heavy rains delay polling in Senanga

Voting at Mwanamwali Polling Station in Senanga district of Western province delayed due to heavy rains.

District ELectoral Office Reagan Kalumba told ZANIS in an interview that voting at the polling station started at 06:20 hours instead of  06:00 hours.

And Mr. Kalumba further disclosed that a total number of 647 voters out of the 1,260 registered had already cast their votes at Zuli polling station around11:40 hours.

He noted that the turn out in the ongoing  Presidential Elections has not been good so far due to heavy rains being experienced in the district.

Meanwhile, Mr Kalumba has confirmed that the district has not recorded any form of violence in all the  polling stations.
Senanga district has a total number of 64 polling stations.
