ECZ trains polling staff in Isoka ahead of the January 20 polls
Isoka, January 7 2015 ZANIS—The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has embarked on training polling staff in Isoka district in Muchinga Province in preparation for January 20 Presidential by-election.
Isoka District Electoral Commission officer Martine Mutale disclosed this to ZANIS in Isoka today.
Mr Mutale said the district staff is well vest in ensuring peaceful elections are carried out during the voting period.
He stressed the importance of polling station staff to undergo a three day orientation workshop aimed at equipping them with skills to conduct the electoral process professionally.
He urged the polling staff to take the training seriously and warned them against absconding during the training.
About 235 polling staff have been engaged to undergo the training being held at Isoka Boys Secondary School.
