Patriotic Front President Edgar Lungu has removed Guy Scott as party Vice President with immediate effect.
This follows Dr Scott’s move to write to the Acting Chief Justice,Lombe Chibesakunda asking her to suspend, defer or refuse any nomination from the Patriotic Front until the Legal wrangles regarding the Presidential Candidate, are resolved.
In his letter of suspension to Dr Scott, Mr Lungu says the letter Dr Scott wrote to the Acting Chief Justice was provocative and an act of gross indiscipline and created a sense of despondency in the minds of our members.

Mr Lungu further states that this action threatened the Peace, Law and Order in tSCOTT LUNGUhe Party and the Nation.
He states that in pursuance of Article 19 (c) and 61(j) of the Party Constitution he has decided to remove Dr Scott from the position of Vice-President with immediate effect and will henceforth remain an ordinary member of the party.
Mr Lungu has further referred Dr Scott’s matter to the Central Committee for consideration and determination.

The PF President has reminds Dr Scott that he was elected PF President by the General Conference held on 30th November 2014 at the Mulumgushi Rock of Authority in Kabwe.
Mr Lungu has further reminded Dr Scott that the High Court upheld this decision through a Consent Judgment issued on 3rd December 2014.
He adds the Consent Judgment remains valid and binding on all members of the Patriotic Front and has not been discharged or set aside by any court of law.

  1. Malawi’s leading Prophet Shepherd Bushiri on Sunday, December 7 gave took time to prophetically handled Zambia’s elections and urged his congregation to pray for the nation as he saw violence erupting in the country following election disagreements. Speaking to his congregation, Bushiri also said that he saw a man wearing a hat being sworn in as Zambia’s president. “Am seeing a man name L being sworn in as President. This man is so much loved by Zambians and he is destined to win. If he fails, he will fail because of himself. Things will go bad for him if he doesnt humble himself and work with the white person,” said Bushiri.

  2. Edgar Lungu has all along been citing a section of the Zambian constitution that stipulates, on the ‘removal’ of the president from office, the ruling party’s secretary-general takes over the reins; so in actual fact Guy Scott had effected a unilateral decision, a coup of sorts! By that token, present action has got nothing to do with race.
