National Restoration Party (NAREP) President Elias Chipimo Junior has dismissed assertions that he has pulled out of the presidential race.

Mr. Chipimo has since assured the people of Zambia that he still firmly remains in the presidential race contrary to reports that he has withdrawn.

Mr. Chipimo has told a media briefing in Lusaka today that as NAREP they are not quitters nor are they doubters of God’s word and his faithfulness.

He says NAREP will not be a tool for private business interests or foreign backers, stating that his party will protect the interest of every Zambian and grant them the economic freedom to make choices that are in the best long term interests of themselves and their families.

Mr. Chipimo states that as a party that was founded on principles, they have a message of economic freedom for every Zambian, adding that they stand on the values laid out in God’s word.

Mr. Chipimo says his party believes in women and youth in the country and will address the unemployment crisis by making all of the vulnerable groups contractual suppliers to government in a revised public procurement programme.

He has urged Zambians not to allow money determine their choices in the forthcoming election or let the false promises decide who they will choose as the next president, but that they should ask themselves about the character of the leader they want for the country and make the choice that they will vote with a clear conscience come 20th January 2015.

Mr. Chipimo has further called on the church to stand as an example of faith in God’s word and pray that the nation will vote for a leader that fears God.
