POLICE in Lusaka say they are yet to receive a report on the alleged assassination attempts against Matero member of Parliament Miles Sampa.
Lusaka Province commissioner of Police Lemmy Kajoba said the police service is ready to investigate the matter once an official complaint is lodged in.

Mr Kajoba said in an interview yesterday that police are eager to investigate the matter once it is reported.
“We have just heard on the news but Mr Sampa has not yet reported. As police, we will swiftly move in and investigate the matter once a complaint is lodged in,” he said.
Mr Kajoba said this in the wake of media reports that some people are allegedly plotting to assassinate Mr Sampa due to his presidential ambitions in the Patriotic Front (PF).

According to reports, Mr Sampa is alleging that his life is in danger from some people that want to kill him for expressing interest in the PF presidency.
Efforts to get Mr Sampa proved futile as his mobile phone went unanswered after several attempts.
